Weiß kreuz: White Cross ++ Hunters in the Night

Fujimiya Aya. Kudou Yohji. Tsukiyono Omi. Hidaka Ken. Just your typical, handsome group of young men who work in a Floral Shop, The Ko-neko no Sumai. While trying to maintain normal, everday lives, tending flowers and trying to manage a retail business against hordes of gushing schoolgirls, these boys seem charming and charismatic, the "boys next door". By day. Each an individual, nothing out of the ordinary. On the surface.

But what lies beneath the facade? What becomes of the kitten in the night?

The story of "Weiß kreuz" is a twisted and sad tale, indeed. These four young men, when the aprons come off, become Weiß, an underground and secretive group of assassins. They meet in the basement of the Sumai, where the sultry and business-concious Manx, a somewhat secretive lady herself, presents them with their Mission, given to them via video feed by their boss, the all-aware and mysterious man known only by his alias, Persia. Founded by Persia's agency, Kritiker, these assassins work for money. They are given a target, and they kill. But the under currents run deeper still.

These targets are no ordinary thugs or rival gangs. They are elite businessmen with a ruthless taste for success; government officials who have over-stepped their bounds; corrupt lawmen turned cold and greedy. Weiß are the ones who mete out justice to those criminals the law cannot, or will not, touch. The Darkness who thought they were safe from the Law of Man, find there is no Mercy from the White Hunters in the Night.

And yet there is the question, what drives them to this end? How to have come so far as to accept money to kill? The truth may be the saddest thing of all...

Fujimiya Aya has a younger sister in the hospital, and it is for her that he needs the money. But when the Darkness settles, Aya takes on the Missions with the hopes of getting ever closer to that one man, the one target he has waited for so long to hunt. For the memory of his family, Aya will bring about his revenge, or die trying.

Kudou Yohji, once a private investigator with a beautiful partner, works to bring justice to those who would do wrong, especially against any woman. Ever the ladies man, Yohji will do just about everything to atone for the lost love he couldn't save-- a love that may come back to kill him!

Hidaka Ken had a promising future as a J-League goal keeper. An all-around friendly, good-natured guy, he fell victim to the crooks of the gambling underworld, a world darker than it seemed, preyed upon by his innocent values of friendship... Ruined, Ken became Weiß with nowhere left to go, hoping to stop injustice and cleanse his own soul, by bearing the Sin of the Hunter.

The youngest, still a schoolboy, Tsukiyono Omi grew up in the shadow of Persia, fighting for those of the Light. Hopeful, idealistic and bright, this computer genius is overly sensitive to the needs of others, caring and sympathetic to those wronged. To end the Evil, Omi lives letting his arrow be the judgment for Weiß. But what would become of this kitten when the nightmares of his childhood reveal something that could ruin all of Weiß?

When their pasts come back to haunt them, when Missions become too personal, the members of Weiß may need to look deep inside themselves to learn whom to trust, and to find the strength of heart to continue on as White Hunters. And to continue to work together, for only together can they survive.

Life is a vicious circle, hurling these four young men to the final battle between good and evil. But how to tell one from the other? The rise of Este, the wicked games of those of Schwarz, enemies returning for one more dance, and, closer to home, the revelation of the man behind Kritiker... the end is near. For Justice. For Revenge. They will bear the Cross of the Sinner to save Those of the Light. And the ones they Love.

White Hunters of the night,
Hunt the tomorrow of the Dark Beast.

Kuroki kemono no ashita wo kare!
