Michael Farmer is the chair and CEO of strategy consulting firm Farmer & Company LLC. He also serves as a professor of branding and integrated communications at The City College of New York (CCNY) and is the author of Madison Avenue Manslaughter: An Inside View of Fee-Cutting Clients, Profit-Hungry Owners and Declining Ad Agencies and Madison Avenue Makeover: The Transformation of Huge and the Redefinition of the Ad Agency Business.
Previously, Mr. Farmer was a director for Bain & Company, heading the Munich, Paris, and London offices. He also served as an officer in the U.S. Navy, including as a professor of naval history at Iowa State University.
Mr. Farmer has an A.B. in English literature from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
