As the SVP, Global Head of Retail Media for VaynerMedia, Mike leads capabilities at VaynerMedia. In his role Mike oversees teams that support strategy and activation for clients across a variety of categories including Retail, CPG, Apparel, Electronics and more to innovate and optimize their marketing approach.
Mike is coming to Vayner with a blend of both agency experience from his time at Dentsu, IPG and Publicis along with brand direct experience at Georgia-Pacific as a marketing leader on the consumer business. In his last role at GP, Mike held the position of Retail Media and Shopper Marketing Lead, in which he owned the media/marketing technology strategies across all retail businesses and the relationship with Retail Media partners. Most recently, Mike led the Commerce & Retail Media practice at dentsu including standing up retail media teams and capabilities across Carat, iProspect, DentsuX and more.
Mike was born with retail in his blood as his father was a consultant for wholesale clubs for nearly 40 years and his brother is on the merchant side of the industry. Mike has a passion for all things commerce and is always looking for ways to innovate and optimize campaign strategies while unlocking more business-oriented data points to drive true incremental impact. Mike was recognized in the inaugural class of Path to Purchase Institute’s 40 under 40 as a rising leader redefining the future of commerce marketing. When not at work you can find Mike spending time with his family including his two boys (6 and 3 years old), listening to the latest podcast and spending too much money on vinyl records.
