As Associate General Counsel at Gallo, Melanie provides legal guidance, training and interpretation of current and proposed laws in the domestic alcohol regulatory and advertising arena. She oversees and advises on labeling, marketing and trade practice issues for more than 150 wine and spirits brands, as well as general compliance with federal, state and other regulatory bodies affecting the alcohol space, including those governing sustainability and consumer protection. Melanie also serves as the primary attorney for all legal matters (including use permits and licensing) concerning Gallo's multiple tasting rooms and DtC brands.
