Jacob Gilbert is a Deputy Bureau Chief with the Consumer Fraud Bureau at the Office of the Illinois Attorney General. During his 12 years with the Illinois Attorney General, Jacob has worked on investigations concerning all manner of consumer fraud issues including auto fraud, home repair fraud, immigration services fraud, electronic cigarettes, and pyramid schemes. Until recently, Jacob was also an adjunct professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law where he taught legal writing for 7 years. Prior to joining the Attorney General’s Office, Jacob worked for Illinois Legal Aid Online and at a plaintiff’s side employment law firm. Before attending law school, Jacob taught Spanish in the New York City public school system.
