General Motors Chief Marketing Officer
Norm was appointed Chief Marketing Officer in July 2023. As Global Chief Marketing Officer, Norm is leading a transformation of GM’s marketing - from a traditional approach to one more founded in data, digital, agility, and business outcomes. His efforts focus on efficiently building demand across GM’s portfolio including our electric vehicles, trucks, and SUVs.
Before joining GM, Norm served as chief marketing officer at CVS Health from 2015-2023 where he helped transform the company from the corner drug store to the largest health care company in America.
Prior to CVS, Norm spent over a decade at Digitas, a leading digital marketing agency, where he held various roles, including President of the Boston and Detroit offices. In this capacity, he played a critical role in advancing GM’s digital marketing strategy. Earlier in his career, Norm worked in investment management and management consulting.
Throughout his career, Norm has received numerous accolades, including being named one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business and one of the World’s Most Innovative CMOs by Business Insider. He has also been awarded an Emmy Award.
Norm holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Ithaca College and earned an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
