Joe is the Chief Marketing Officer at Saatva, one of the first direct-to-consumer luxury mattress brands, which recently celebrated its 15th anniversary. An early digital pioneer, Joe began his career working on some of the first online ads and websites shortly after the launch of the Netscape browser in 1994. Over the years, he has held several influential roles: co-founder of the agency now known as MRM McCann; Global Chief Creative Officer at Digitas; General Manager of Studio@AOL, AOL’s innovation lab; and founder of The Wonderfactory, a New York-based design firm behind the strategy and development of many of the first tablet and mobile apps for major publishers such as AARP, WebMD, The Huffington Post, The Weather Company, Time Inc., and Barnes & Noble.Today, Joe leads a marketing team at Saatva committed to “insourcing” what many brands outsource to agencies, including PR, social, content and publishing, email, media planning and buying, and all aspects of creative, from video production and photography to 3D modeling and animation.
