Heather Strickland is the creator of Amex Marketing U, a learning and career development program which helps marketers at American Express stay curious. She believes that learning should be fun and strives every day to think outside the box and redefine what learning looks like. A 13-year veteran of American Express, Heather is a communications and colleague engagement Jill of All Trades. She loves to tell a good story – whether it’s building a narrative for a brand or sharing a wild tale for friends over dinner, she knows how to keep your attention. She leads with heart and works to create spaces where everyone feels valued and heard. Heather holds a BA in journalism from University of Richmond and an MFA in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She lives in Brooklyn with her two cats and her giant board game collection.
