Hernan Tantardini

Hernán Tantardini is Chief Marketing Officer of PepsiCo Foods US – a $23 billion division of PepsiCo – and leads the brand marketing, innovation, strategic insights, design and media initiatives that create consumer connections with the company’s iconic brands, including Doritos, Lay’s, Cheetos, Ruffles, Tostitos, PopCorners and Quaker Oats.

Tantardini rejoined PepsiCo in 2020 and most recently served as Senior Vice President and Snacks Business Unit General Manager for PepsiCo Mexico. He was also the executive sponsor of the Diversity Chapter for the PepsiCo Mexico organization and brands, blazing a trail for the organization as a founding member of the Mexico chapter of the UN Unstereotype Alliance, an industry-led initiative to end harmful stereotypes in advertising.

Prior to joining PepsiCo, Tantardini spent more than 20 years honing his marketing, sales and general management skills by driving results at local, regional and global levels for multinational companies such as Unilever, Grupo Cepas/Bacardi and PepsiCo Beverages.

Named one of the 25 Most Influential Marketing Leaders in Latin America by Advertising Week LATAM, and the #1 most influential in Mexico, Tantardini enjoys leading his teams to receive honors for their creative prowess, such as three consecutive EFFIE “Advertiser of the Year” awards, the PepsiCo Chairman Award for Design, and multiple Cannes Lions.

Tantardini was born in Argentina and holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from the Technological Institute of Buenos Aires (ITBA) and an MBA from the Torcuato Di Tella University in Buenos Aires. Tantardini has also completed a Senior Management Program at the IAE Business School and an MIT Sloan Executive Education program in Digital Business Transformation. As a sports enthusiast, he is an avid tennis player and enjoys traveling the world with his family whenever he gets the chance. He lives with his wife and two children in Plano, Texas.
