Tammara Walker is a seasoned marketer with over 15 years of experience shaping brand narratives and
executing strategic campaigns across diverse industries. Her expertise in consumer engagement, brand
positioning and storytelling, has driven measurable success for some of the world’s most recognized
brands.
As the Sr. Advertising Manager at Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, she manages brand communication strategies to ensure Popeyes stays at the center of culture. She has spearheaded high-impact campaigns across TV, digital, and social platforms, bringing the brand to life in ways that resonate deeply with its audiences. Most notably, she curated Popeyes’ first-ever Wing Truck Tour, taking the brand directly to notable NCAA football rivalries and HBCUs, igniting energy and engagement with the Gen Z audience.
Before Popeyes, Tammara served as the Advertising & Marketing Manager for the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), where she led strategic advertising and media efforts to position Miami as a premier global destination in tourism. She played a pivotal role in building of two global brand platforms and was instrumental in the viral "Miami Beach: Breaking Up with Spring Break" campaign, which reshaped the city's image and engagement strategy. Her impactful work earned her an award from the Mayor of Miami Beach, recognizing her contributions to the city's tourism success.
Tammara’s career is defined by her ability to make brands matter. As Vice President of Corporate Marketing at J.P. Morgan Chase (JPMC), she built game-changing partnerships and initiatives that empowered women and minorities. She oversaw the production of CHEDHER, a groundbreaking weekly content series filmed at the New York Stock Exchange in partnership with Cheddar Media and led the national partnership between Girls Inc. and JPMC expanding economic literacy programs that impacted over 200,000 young girls nationwide.
In 2020, Tammara deepened her commitment to inclusive marketing by founding WKT Collective, a strategic consultancy focused on embedding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) into brand strategy. She partnered with Soho House & Co Inc. to develop a DEI framework and training program designed to ensure the brand delivers on its promise.
During her 8+ year tenure at Nike Inc., Tammara led with vision and cultural intuition, driving marketing strategies that left a lasting impact on both the brand and its audience. She launched “Swoosh Saturdays,” a retail experience for young athletes, and played a key role in the acclaimed "Equality: Until We All Win" campaign, featuring cultural icons like Colin Kaepernick. Tammara also developed Nike’s Gen-Z influencer strategy, connecting rising social media creators with global athletes like LeBron James and Serena Williams to create culturally rich brand moments.
Early in her corporate career, Tammara worked with some well-known brands and organizations across multiple industries. She developed fundraising initiatives with the Jackie Robinson Foundation, supported Victoria’s Secret Beauty Corp as a package design assistant, and managed public relations efforts for Time Inc. Media. She also supported artist PR tour management for to music labels, including Interscope Records, Arista Records, Universal Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment.
Recognized as one of M.I.A Legacy Magazine’s 2023 "40 Under 40: Black Leaders of Today and Tomorrow,” Tammara is not only a marketing force, but also a leader who opens doors for others. She serves as a mentor for Black in Corporate and advised organizations like Luminary Women’s Network and TING, a UK-based nonprofit advancing workplace diversity and inclusion.
Her passion for youth empowerment extends to her board service with the Rockhouse Foundation, helping to build Jamaica’s first special needs school, and the advisory council for Girls Gotta Run, an organization supporting young female runners in Ethiopia.
A proud New Yorker, Tammara holds a degree in Marketing from Hofstra University. She’s a dedicated member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., where she has served on North Atlantic regional committee and founded the Brooklyn chapter’s P.E.A.R.L mentorship program.
When she’s not changing the world, Tammara is exploring it firsthand—having traveled to over 40 countries. Her love for music and passion the arts fuel her creative spirit, while dabbling in running keeps her energized. Whether she's launching a campaign, championing diversity, or creating unforgettable cultural moments, Tammara brings intentionality, heart, and hard work to everything she touches.
