Lanae Williamson is the Multicultural Strategy and Marketing Operations, Senior Lead, for Nissan North America. In this role, Lanae is responsible for spearheading efforts in developing a strategy and operations focused on expanding and strengthening Nissan's connection with diverse audiences through culturally relevant and authentic marketing, media and advertising efforts. Lanae began her career at Nissan in 2006 and has since served in a wide range of marketing roles.
Lanae is a passionate Brand, Multicultural Marketing and Advertising leader with over 20+ years leading award-winning integrated marketing strategies, media and advertising campaigns. By directing innovative, first to market strategies, Lanae is recognized for empowering diverse talent, creators, and businesses to shape the future of inclusive marketing and media.
Some of the awards and recognitions include, two-time American Advertising Federations (AAF) Mosaic Award recipient, two-time Telly Award recipient, and ‘Multicultural Media Person of the Year’ North American International Auto Show Nominee.
Lanae frequently volunteers for various organizations whose mission is to create inclusive communities and spaces. She loves paying it forward by supporting organizations, such as an AAF’s Most Promising Multicultural Student Program Judge. This program supports inductees who have a desire to change the future of advertising by advocating, amplifying, and advancing diverse voices. Lanae has also served as an ANA Multicultural Excellence Awards Judge for multiple years to provide her knowledge in this space.
Most recently, her peers in the inclusive marketing industry nominated Lanae as 2025 ANA Multicultural Marketing Committee Co-Chair. In this role, Lanae will foster industry thought leadership and provide her expertise and insights in the multicultural marketing space. Her ability to seamlessly blend insights, media, and content into an integrated campaign will be valuable asset to the committee.
As a very proud HBCU alumnus, Lanae holds a bachelor of science in communications and a master's in business administration (MBA) from Tennessee State University.
