Paul Yovanic is a Commercial Litigation Associate in Seyfarth Shaw’s Chicago office and a member of the firm’s Advertising & Marketing group. His practice focuses on class action litigation with an emphasis on data privacy and information security. Paul has substantial experience defending clients in data breach cases and state privacy law claims, including the highly active Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), often handling matters of first impression. He also advises clients on the legal risks associated with biometric technologies and conducts related compliance assessments. Paul has defended dozens of BIPA class actions—both employment and consumer-based—including some of the most high-profile cases in the country.
