How CARE Leverages Social Media and Strategic Marketing to Advance Global Public Health Outcomes
This event is over.
In today’s inclusive and digital world, strategic marketing has the power to bridge gaps in health access and outcomes—especially when it’s culturally grounded and community-driven. In this session, global humanitarian organization CARE shares how it uses social media and behavior-based marketing to reach multicultural communities with life-saving information and drive measurable improvements in public health outcomes, from maternal health to vaccine confidence.
This session will feature Joyce Sepenoo, Senior Director Global Health Programs, and Jessica Kirkwood, Associate Vice President of Supporter Engagement at CARE;. Joyce brings extensive experience leading health programs across Africa, the U.S., and Latin America, while Jessica has helped CARE translate its decades of Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) expertise into scalable digital strategies.
They’ll explore CARE’s work to promote positive maternal health behaviors for women as well as a recent partnership with Meta to deliver large-scale SBCC vaccination campaigns that effectively engaged hard-to-reach audiences through culturally relevant messaging.
Attendees will gain:
- A practical framework for applying SBCC principles through paid social media and strategic brand partnerships.
- Insights into crafting and adapting public health messages for local contexts with multicultural populations, considering multiple languages and culturally varied audiences.
- Tools to help brands and organizations drive meaningful behavior change at scale.
Perfect for corporate marketers looking to gain insights into authentically connecting with global and communities of all backgrounds, this session will demonstrate how mission-aligned marketing can move people—from awareness to action.
